909 Shanghai ZhongShan Park B

Conceived as a transparent winter-garden pavilion, the restaurant stretches like a greenhouse ribbon along the edge of the park. Guests enter a glazed foyer that splits into two parallel experiences: to the south, a sun-bathed dining promenade lined with yellow parasols overlooks geometrically clipped hedges; to the north, a lush indoor landscape meanders beneath the roof, weaving islands of plantings, cherry blossoms and a reflective pool around pocket seating clusters. An oval stage and curved bar anchor the midpoint, allowing the space to convert from tranquil brunch venue to twilight music lounge. Structural rhythm is expressed through slender steel mullions painted midnight blue, their cadence softened by creeping vines trained up suspended cables. Back-of-house kitchens, cold rooms and offices are consolidated into a compact opaque volume at the western head, ensuring uninterrupted glass façades elsewhere. Rainwater is harvested through roof gutters to irrigate the indoor garden, underscoring the project’s eco-serre identity.
